Vision :

• To be a leading center of excellence in the study, preservation and dissemination of Sahitya Shastra, blending the wisdom of Literature & Poetics, Culture with modern academic and technological advancements, fostering intellectual growth and ethical development..

Mission:

• To preserve and promote the rich legacy of Sahitya Shastra through systematic teaching, research and publication.

• To nurture scholars and educators proficient in Sahitya Shastra and capable of addressing contemporary challenges through ancient wisdom & Poetic (Traditional & Modern) skills

• To integrate modern methodologies and technologies for innovative, effective and qualitative learning and research in Sahitya Shastra.

• To cultivate a global understanding of Sahitya Shastra as a profound resource for Poetics, Drama and spiritual development of literature.

Goals :

• Safeguard the traditional texts, commentaries and teachings of various schools of Indian language & literature (Poetics, Drama etc.)

• Provide a structured curriculum for students to deeply engage with different systems of Sahitya Shastra

• Organize workshops, seminars and discourses for academic and practical understanding.

• Conduct advanced research on comparative Literature and contemporary relevance of Sahitya Shastra.

• Comparative Study of Indian Poetics/literature with Western Poetics/literature.(Oriental as well as Occidental)

Department of Purana

Vision :

· Encouraging intellectual growth and moral development, providing the basic content of Guruparampara and Puraneshitas subjects along with modern educational and technological advancements, promoting the study of Puranashastra and giving special emphasis on socially useful research.

Mission:

· By using the original works of research through the teaching of ancient history, to take it to the society.

· To guide the Vyaspeeth to the students with a view to earn a living by studying mythology.

· Small project training will be provided for the purpose of research enthusiasm.

· To cultivate a global understanding of puran Shastra as a profound resource for philosophical, ethical, and spiritual development.

Goals :

· Ancient history Traditional texts, commentaries are protected.

Mission: · To highlight the importance of grammatical knowledge. · To preserve and promote the rich heritage of grammar studies through systematic teaching, research, and publication. · To prepare proficient scholars and teachers in grammar studies who are capable of addressing contemporary challenges through ancient knowledge. · To implement modern methods and technologies for innovative and effective teaching and research in grammar studies. · To highlight the scientific and philosophical aspects of grammar studies and the significance of its principles on the global stage.

The department aims to create a society based on the highest ideals of knowledge, truth, and ethics as propagated in the Vedas. · Universal Dissemination of Vedic Knowledge - Highlighting the universality of the Vedas and making their wisdom accessible to all communities and sections of society. - Utilizing Vedic knowledge to address contemporary challenges. · Becoming a Global Hub for Education and Research - Establishing a world-class center for the study and research of the Vedas. - Building partnerships and collaborations with global universities and institutions. · Revival of Culture and Tradition - Revitalizing the Vedas as the foundational pillar of Indian culture and tradition. - Connecting the younger generation with Vedic values and principles. · Sustainable Development and Environmental Conservation - Promoting sustainable development by applying Vedic knowledge on nature and environmental harmony. - Establishing a balance between nature and humanity. · Spiritual and Social Harmony - Spreading the message of unity and peace through Vedic philosophy and teachings. - Promoting ideals of morality, tolerance, and equality in society. Mission: The Mission of the Department of Veda focuses on the study, preservation, and dissemination of the Vedas. Its objective is to understand, safeguard, and make this vital source of Indian culture, traditions, and ancient knowledge relevant in the modern context. · Encouraging Study and Research on the Vedas - In-depth study of the ancient languages (Sanskrit) and grammar of the Vedas. - Research on the mantras, rituals, and philosophical aspects of the Vedas. · Encouraging the younger generation to study the Vedas. · Interpretation in the Modern Context - Interpreting Vedic knowledge in areas like environment, education, health, and societal contribution. - Promoting the global relevance of the Vedas. · Education and Training - Organizing specialized courses and workshops for advanced studies in the Vedas. - Integrating the Gurukul system with modern education. · Dialogue and Collaboration - Promoting Vedic studies through academic and cultural collaborations at the national and international levels. - Establishing dialogue with various religions and traditions. · Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, efforts will focus on increasing the enrollment of students in Vedic studies within higher education.
